Still Celebrating

By November 28, 2020 April 27th, 2021 No Comments

MESóN HIDALGO celebrated its first birthday on Día de Muertos, a festival with deep roots in San Miguel de Allende. It is a day when people pay homage to their deceased loved ones and give thanks for the best and brightest moments of the past.

For us, the small team of women who transformed this centuries-old colonial building into a house like no other, this was a very meaningful milestone.

For that reason, on the evening of November 1, we invited some of our closest friends and longstanding supporters to come and enjoy a fabulous gastronomic experience prepared for us by producer Fernanda Lobato and chef Lucía Echeverría.

It was an intimate affair to celebrate the serendipitous circumstances behind the founding of our beloved MESóN HIDALGO, and to give thanks for the good fortune that accompanies the house and the brands who reside in it: Xinú, Laura Kirar and Carla Fernández.

But the festivities don’t end there. Like the city of San Miguel itself, MESóN HIDALGO is imbued with a revolutionary spirit and will keep forging ahead in the face of any adversity.

Here in our guesthouse, as in the city as a whole, we are working hard every day to make sure our guests feel safe. We’re a certified destination thanks to the strict health measures we employ. But don’t worry—while we take the health and well-being of our guests very seriously, we’re also committed to keeping alive this city’s unique atmosphere of vitality and joyfulness.

There’s no better place to keep warm this winter and welcome in a brand new year. We’ll be writing to you again soon to invite you to our Posada Dinner, guaranteed to be another unforgettable moment—like all those that occur within the ageless walls of this house like no other.

Spend December in MESóN HIDALGO.
Chana, Juana and Su Hermana await you.
